Devlog #15 : Video! First Look at the Preparation Scene (UI + Music + Paperdoll)
Hey everyone!
It’s time for another update on the arena roguelike. This one is a bit special: I finally put together a short video showing off the new Preparation Scene UI, complete with equipment drag & drop, animated paperdoll, and even some music for mood.
You can see how you’ll be able to gear up before fights—swap weapons, armor, shields, and watch your character update in real time. There’s a new rusty metal frame and background art for atmosphere, plus some experimental lighting and “dungeon” effects to sell the pre-arena vibe.
The UI/UX is still a work in progress (so is the audio mix!), but I’m happy with the direction.
Feedback is very welcome—what do you think of the visuals? Anything missing?
Do you prefer a more minimal or more ornate interface for this kind of game?
